My career began in the financial sector, where I gained invaluable expertise working in some of the most competitive and high-net-worth environments:
- 12 years as Associate Vice President at Dean Witter Reynolds (now Morgan Stanley), Beverly Hills, CA
- The training and experience I acquired in this elite financial hub allowed me to handle complex financial situations that simply cannot be duplicated in smaller markets.
- 2 years as an Investment Specialist at Bank of America Investments
- Managed seven investment offices, broadening my expertise in strategic financial planning.
- 29 years as Founder of JM Seidel Insurance Solutions, Northern CA
- Specializing in safe money solutions that protect clients’ assets while providing growth, security, and guaranteed income for life.
A True Family Business
I’ve been happily married to Lois for 40 years. Our daughter, Lauren, a UC Santa Cruz graduate, has an active role in the company while also dedicating her time to a local nonprofit.

Tunnels to Towers is a nonprofit founded in tribute to New York Fire Department firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life to save others on September 11th, 2001, and continues to honor military and first responders who’ve sacrificed life and limb for our country.
Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care is a volunteer organization that works to raise, rehabilitate, and release orphaned and injured animals in counties surrounding the Lake Tahoe region.
Christmas Cheer All Year is a charity committed to providing meals and clothing to underprivileged children and seniors—not just during Christmas, but all year round.
